
Steve has 36 years of experience in the financial services industry including both banking and investments. Following a six-year tenure as a high school teacher and coach at Princeton High School, Steve began his financial services career with Citizens First National Bank. He was instrumental in starting the full service investment program in the mid 1990’s. While at Citizens, he spent over 15 years working with PrimeVest Financial Services. Steve comes to KB Elliott from Heartland Bank and Trust and LPL Financial, Inc.
Steve holds series 7 (General Securities), 24 (General Securities Principal), 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law), and 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law) FINRA registrations, and an Illinois life insurance license for life, long-term care, and fixed insurance along with variable annuities. His registrations are held in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Arizona. He has centered his practice on understanding the goals of his clients, and helping them attain those goals while providing excellent customer service. Steve is a a Registered Representative with Kestra Investment Services, LLC and an Investment Advisor Representative with Kestra Advisory Services, LLC.
During his 42 years in the Princeton community, he has been heavily involved in service organizations, non-profit fundraising efforts, and accepting positions of leadership in many local organizations. Currently, Steve is a Board member of the Princeton Elementary School District, a member of the Princeton Rotary Club, and immediate past President of the Youth Service Bureau Foundation Board. He has been involved in assisting fund drive efforts for Princeton Public Schools Foundation; Youth Service Bureau, Festival 56 and the Princeton Theater Group, and the St. Louis School Auction.
Steve received his Bachelor of Arts from Western Ill University in 1973 with a major in Political Science. He completed his MBA at Northern Ill University in 1994 with a major in Finance.
Steve and his wife, Carla, reside in Princeton. They are the parents of four children and four grandchildren. Steve enjoys golf, basketball, baseball, and babysitting his grandchildren.
